It is a permanent record of those unforgettable unforgettable moments of the year in pictures. The class clowns, the candid shots, those sporting events, the shots you hoped and prayed and begged not to be in the yearbook are all contained in a Hardcover edition this year. The price of $13.00 is small compared to the anguish of being left out of the "autographing yearbooks" yearbooks" group in June. The editors of the yearbook are Donna MacSween and Tim Childs, both grade 12 students. They had already had a year's experience on the yearbook when they were asked to be- True Concessions Town halls, tall tales, and train tracks are part of the true concessions of the Town of Newcastle to be interpreted by Bill Humber on Friday, May 27th at 8:00 p.m. at the Visual Arts of Newcastle off Simpson Ave. in Bowrnanville. True Concessions is a project project of the Local Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee Committee of Newcastle. Starting from the road pattern of New castle it takes off to an imaginative imaginative exploration of local history as a basis for determining determining buildings and places warranting conservation. The presentation includes slides, talk, and historic ballads of the type celebrating the opening opening of Bowmanville's Town Hall 80 years ago. The project uses some of the tricks of the 19th century civic booster including a somewhat different cartographic bird's eye view of Bowrnanville and area, and a three dimensional storytelling technique in the spirit of the Belden Atlas. On this the 125th anniversary anniversary of Bowrnanville, join the Local Architectural Advisory Committee for an evening of storytelling and local history and in the process discover some of their plans for future conservation. All this had to be carefully arranged before being sent to the printers before before the various deadlines. In order to maintain their grades in academic subjects, Tim and Donna had to sacrifice some freetime and stay after school. However, Tim and Donna have no regrets. They found their work has been fulfilling and interesting and are beginning to plan the next yearbook with Mr. Lees, the staff advisor. Mr. C. R. Johnson is himself an expert photographer and is suitably the staff advisor to the Yearbook Photographers. He finds that photography is a rewarding hobby and encourages encourages all the Yearbook photographers photographers to get the best shots. Mr. C. R. Johnson this year circulated a newsletter to keep photographers posted of news concerning the yearbook and suggestions for pictures. This way he feels that a large number of students will find their faces in the yearbook. The Yearbooks are due during the last week of school. They promise to meet all our expectations.
