N. I MILE NORTH OF HIGHWAY 2 Musikids Host German Band On Sunday, May 22, a group of fifty young and talented musicians arrived from West Germany and were greeted by Musikids of Oshawa. Two years ago, Musikids travelled to a small city in Germany called Diedorf and found the Diedorf Youth Band waiting with open arms. Starting May 22, Musikids will try to equal the gracious hospitality extended extended to them by the Diedorf band in 1981. The German band has a - very busy and exciting schedule schedule awaiting them in Oshawa and in Kitchener where they will be hosted by the Cameron Heights Collegiate Band. While in Oshawa, the band will travel to Niagara Falls, Black Creek Pioneer Village, and see many attractions in Toronto. One of the musical highlights of the trip will be the Annual Musikids Spring Concert in which Musikids, Musikatz and the Diedorf band will play. It is sure to be a musical extravaganza. The logistics of presenting three bands call for the use of O'Neill Collegiate in Oshawa as the setting, rather than Bowmanville High School where previous spring concerts concerts nave been staged.
