These are the show dates for Bowmanville Drama Club's fall production of "And Miss Reardon Drinks A Little." Production activity began last week with casting sessions sessions for this comedy drama. Response from would-be actors and actresses was large and enthusiastic - an early good omen! Faces familiar familiar to Bowmanville drama goers and faces new to the drama scene donned many disguises as they evoked laughter, anger, pity, and empathy from fellow club members. A full cast of five females and two males has been selected and director Jean Sheridan has begun rehearsals. rehearsals. Kendal Citizen Visiting in Israel KENDAL ( Intended for last week) Mrs. G. Dekkers of Cochrane Cochrane has returned after spending spending three weeks with her dad who is ill, in Holland. She also spent a week with her daughter, daughter, Mrs. John Gossen, her husband and children Tommy and Michael here in Kendal. Mrs. Don Keane, Jeffery and Janis of Scarborough visited visited with Catherine Stewart last week. Mrs. Mary Brown and friend Bernie Martin of London, Ont. spent the weekend weekend with Catherine Stewart and on Monday they, along with Mr. George Lofthouse, had dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Dan Keane of Scarborough. Mrs. Jack Feddema has gone on a trip to Israel with Dr. and Mrs. I. Dubinsky of Bowmanville. We are sorry to hear that Mrs. Julia Jackson is in Bowmanville Bowmanville Memorial Hospital, also to know that Mr. Arthur Thompson has had an operation operation at Oshawa General. Some of the work will also be done by Mrs. M. Stevens. On the Bible study Exodus chapter 20 verses 1 -17 were read, also Mark 12 chapter with verses 29 - 31. After all the business was concluded we closed the meeting with hymn No. 388 "O Master let me walk with thee." Author Mrs. V. Allman has written two books "Dew Drops" and "Escape" which is available at her home and in Oshawa. Then we all sat down for a delicious pot luck, included included in this lovely meal we had fresh corn, melon and cantelope from Mrs. Steven's garden. Our sympathy is extended to Mr. 0. Holland and family in the passing of his mother, Mrs. Holland in Oshawa on Sept. 3. Miss Jane Dekkers, Oshawa spent last weekend with her sister and husband and family Mr. and Mrs. John Gosson.
