The church'does not exist for its own sake but to do God's will. In the absence of our secretary, secretary, Mrs. Kay Mackie, Mrs. Joan Coverly read the past minutes. The treasurer's report was given by Mrs. Joan Down. Eileen asked for a motion to pay for the cooler for Meals On Wheels for this area. If you have one spare hour a month your help would be appreciated to carry out this rewarding work. A motion was passed to supply twenty-two pies for a Masonic event in Oshawa. We were then favored by three numbers by our junior choir led by Mrs. Brenda Metcalf on piano, Mrs. Charlotte Hughes on bass and also Paul Herron on guitar and Richard Hughes on drums. After their last song, 'Thank You Lord', we all joine'd in and sang it over once again. It is always a treat to hear them sing. Charlotte's scripture reading was taken from II Cor. 9: 6-15. The offering was then taken and dedicated. dedicated. Charlotte read "God So He fol- Loved the World that Gave." Our role as His lower is to reflect the Giver. The act of giving can be compared with throwing, a stone into the water and sinks -- a thing done. Charlotte then read 'à poem "The Art of Giving," followed by prayer. We were asked to fill in a thought provoking questionnaire questionnaire called "How Well Do You Know Your Church?"
