Heritage Major Atoms The Heritage House Toros shut-out by the L.N.H.L. Blackhawks 4 - 0 at Civic Arena on Saturday morning. Later on, the Toros put forth a much better effort against Port Hope even though they lost 4 to 3. The game was mostly even in the first period with Port Hope going ahead by one late in the period. The Toros tied the game early in the second on a nice goal by Martin D'Entremont assisted by Kent Vanderhey- den and Shawn McFayden. Port Hope came on strong and scored three unanswered goals. The Toros settled down in the third period, mounting a comeback and scoring twice in 14 seconds of the last minute, to make the final score 4 - 3. The Toros' second goal was scored by a persistent persistent Matt Doughty, assisted by Chris Brown and Shawn McFadyen. Our third goal was scored by Chris in a goal mouth scramble, assisted by Matt. Pick Up And Pilch-In Inclement weather prevented Agriculture Minister the Hon. Dennis Timbrell from attending the annual meeting of Durham East Progressive Conservatives on Monday at Orono. But, MPP Sam Cureatz took over a speaker and outlined some of the legislative actions under way at Queen's Park. Prior to the meeting, a few of the party members were photographed, making presentations for the program.
