She chose a cape style fingertip veil held by a band of lace and seed pearls and carried a bouquet of deep pink silk roses and tiny burgundy carnations with baby's breath accented with white ribbons tied in love knots around tiny burgundy carnations. Her gold locket and earrings were a gift from the groom. Sheryl Dubeau, Newcastle, was matron of honour for her sister. Pam Gervois, Huntsville, cousin of the bride and Sheila Eby, Oshawa, sister of the groom, were bridesmaids. They wore identical formal gowns of frost-rose jersey featuring net yokes and sleeves with ruffles at neck and cuffs. A matching jersey flounce at the waist over gently flaring skirt made them appear as two piece gowns and carried matching nosegays of deep pink lilies, light pink and tiny burgundy carnations and baby's breath. The flower girl was Tricia Dubeau, Newcastle, niece of the bride, wearing a long dress amost identical to the older girls' and carrying a white basket of burgundy lilies, tiny carnations and the same deep pink roses as the bride. The best man was Thomas Pflanzer of Oshawa. The ushers were David Stewart of Pontypool, brother of the bride and Bill Eby of Oshawa, brother-in-law of the groom. The groom and his attendants looked very handsome in matching burgundy tuxedos with ruffled white shirts and burgundy bow ties. Their boutonnieres were deep pink roses to match the bride's bouquet. A reception followed at Nightingale Centennial Hall, Bowmanville where the bride's mother received in a short dress of pale blue polyester crepe with navy accessories and coursage of deep pink silk roses. She was assisted by the groom's mother in a long gown of dusty pink politer with burgundy accessorits and a coursage of deep pink roses and carnations. Master of ceremonies was Bill Hayes, Mississauga, assisted by John Gervais, Huntsville, both uncles of the bride. i Relatives attended from the.' It was the 19th annual graduation ceremony ceremony held at the Inn on the Park, Toronto, on Nov. 19th. President Donald R. Shaw presented the diplomas to the graduates and the Honorable John B. Aird, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario addressed addressed the graduates and the 500 guests who attended the ceremony. Former B.H.S. Teacher Has New Art Job A former Bowmanville High School teacher has been named executive director director of Arts Scarborough, the city's arts council. Jack Ross, recently retired retired from the education field, begins his new job this week heading up the arts council as its full time director. Following graduation from the University of Toronto, Toronto, Mr. Ross accepted a position on staff at Bowmanville Bowmanville High School during during the 1950's. He later became became principal of a Carlton Place secondary school. Between 1959 and 1971, he held a number of administrative administrative posts with the provincial provincial Ministry of Education. Education.
