Orono's Shawn Hardy won 2nd in Category III Poster. He is shown here with Vice Principal Dan Maclvor and Branch President Doug Walton. There were three Poster winners at Clarke High. Laurie Hollingsworth and Tracey Anderson far left and right, were tied for 3rd, Nancy Cowan, middle, came 1st and at rear Waryn.Lycett was 2nd. Bob Brown, in charge of the competition, is shown with the winners. Heather Seaton of Courtice South placed 3rd in Poster Category III and is pictured with teacher Philip Palmer and Mr. Brown. Alison Cughan of Hampton Jr. Public School came 3rd in the Jr. Poem category. Teacher Larry Roberts and Mr. Walton are shown with her. Dianna Reid of M.J. Hobbs won 2nd in Category II Poster and is pictured with teachers Mrs. Wafly Pitt ajijjLMr. Walton. At Enniskillen, Brad Banks was the 1st Place Poster winner in Category III. Vg ; i n»r '•4 Waverley Public School had two winners. Shera Hastings was 3rd in Jr Essay and Tim Conley was 1st in Jr. Essay. Teacher Jim Mills is shown with them. Kimberley Russell of Lord Elgin Public School won 1st with her Jr. Poem and Robbie Clements 2nd in the same category. Alongside is teacher Frank McQuay. Sam Laskaris was the only winner at Bowmanville High School. He won 1st in Sr. Poem category. Mr. Brown presented the trophy and plaque. There were six winners from Bowmanville Sr. Laura Silver, 1st Cat. II Poster; Steve Latter, 1st Public, 1-r, Chris Hilborn was 3rd Int. Poem; hit. Essay. Vice Principal Jon Leith and Mr. Brown Jennifer Olesen, 2nd Int, Essay; Laura Dolan, 2nd arc at rear. Int. Poem ; John Bradley, 3rd, Category II Poster ; Shaunna Mclnnes won 2nd in the Junior 1 contest and is pictured with Ncwtonville Principal Bruce Steele. At The Pines, Jacquio Smuk, right, won 3rd in Intermediate Essay and Nicole Handrahan won 1st for Intermediate Poem.
