CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE UPDATE FOR THE BICENTENNIAL COMMITTEE The Bicentennial Committee is planning to have special commemorative "Trade Dollar" coins minted. These will cost $1.00 each and can be redeemed at local banks until July 31, 1984. Details have not been finalized at this time, but the Committee will be making further announcements with respect to this project. There are now grants available from the Secretary of State of Canada. These are on a first come, first served basis but must be received by March 31,1984. Wintario grants are still available for events occurring between August and December 1984 but applications must be submitted by April 30, 1984. Explorer Group News The Explorers have been meeting regularly each Wednesday night, since the new year. We studies about mission work and how we could each be a missionary within our own homes, our community community and our church. In February we have been using "God's Love" as a theme and have discussed just how great His Love is.
