Scoring for Bowmanville were Brad Carnegie John Begg, Carnegie a and Mark Tripp, from Guy Freeman and Real from Aaron Ulrich and Tripp. from from Rob Although the boys suffered defeat a strong performance was put forth by all concerned. concerned. Just 35 seconds later, Chris Hall from Britt Cole potted what was to be the winner. Again the solid defence and good back checking of all forwards forwards allowed this score to stand. The true test of the McGregor McGregor resurgence was Sut., Feb. 25 as the boys faced the front running Oshawa Red Wings and skated off with a much deserved 6 - 4 victory, Before the first period was half over, Bowmanville, on goals by Mark Tripp from John Begg, Rob Real from Brad Carnegie and Albert Big Canoe, Eric Janessen from Jeff Lavil and Britt Cole, had shown they were there for the game. The second period saw an exchange of goals as Oshawa scored followed by Brad Carnegie's goal on a nice set up from Paul Boyle and Albert Big Canoe. Oshawa threatened threatened once more before Mark Tripp hit from Rob Real and Aaron Ulrich. In the third period, Oshawa put two more up bracketing the hat trick goal of Mark Tripp from Carnegie and Real. Near the end of the game the team suffered a penalty with just 1:25 remaining. remaining. Some heroic goaltending by Darrin Bunker and solid checking by the forwards enabled enabled the Toros to carry off a 6 - 4 victory.
