Two readings, "Especially Jim" and "A Prayer for Getting Old", were given by Audrey Rosevear. Mrs. Marion James, Bowmanville, was the guest speaker. Marion gave an informative talk on her trip to the Netherlands, Germany and other European European countries, which she illustrated with slides. The description of the passion play at Oberammergau was especially interesting. Mr. Walter Woolley's mouth organ rendition of "How Great Thou Art" seemed especially appropriate following following these pictures. Howard was nominated by the Pine Ridge Institute and is now entitled to carry P.A. behind his name (Professional (Professional Agrologist). Mitzi and Bob Pick of Ajax - Pickering were weekend visitors with the Marti Malcolms of Omemee and the Harvey Malcolms of Yelverton. Lana, while working in Edmonton two years ago in a variety store, witnessed a hold up of the premises. One of the alleged alleged hold up artists has been apprehended and is being brought to trail. The Durham Region Dutch Canadian Club held their Carnival dance at the Kinsmen Hall in Oshawa on Saturday evening with D.J. the "Partie Sound" providing providing the music. Their next big outing will be the Fiesta Queen Dance at the same location location on Saturday, April 7, 1984. If history repeats itself, itself, this event will be a sell out. Unfortunately, recent dances have not been well attended and if the trend continues, we would prophesy prophesy the demise of this organization organization in the not too distant distant future.
