Guide their organization. Crowds were down slightly this year for the 13th annual Community Fair held at the Bowmanville High School, Saturday. However, those who turned out for the event were not disappointed with the 22 booths of articles for sale including everything from homemade chocolate Easter eggs to gladiolus bulbs. Shown above cutting the ribbon to officially open the affair is Councillor Marie Hubbard with Community Fair convenor Sandra Yates. Holding the ribbon is 5th Bowmanville Brownie Tara Rogers (left) and 1st Bowmanville Brownie Julia Mason. Mother and son team, Sherrell and Stephan Leetooze, manned the Durham Region Gladiolus and Dahlia Society booth. Selling pies for the 9th Bowmanville Scout group was Pat Watson, Wearing baker's caps above are Bowmanville Kinetics Cathy Weiner (le It) and Bonnie McCraken. They were appropriate advertisements for their club's table of yeast breads, jams and jellies, A booth of beautiful plants was sponsored by the 5th Bowmanville Brownies. Worker Diane Rogers is shown above tending the wares.
