Visitors to the historic Jury residence residence on Silver St. will discover not only the regular exhibits but also a group of grade four students from Central Public School who will be studying pioneer life during the museum's opening week. "They're going to learn by doing, which is a good way to learn" said Marion Veinot, curator of the Bowmanville Bowmanville Museum. She added that the 24 students will be studying butter making, candle candle making, rug hooking, sewing, spinning, woodworking, chair can ing and leather working. They will be at the museum April 17,18, and 19 as well as April 24 and 25. The annual collectors' caravan for antique collectors will be part of the museum's spring program. The curator also pointed out that a number of bicentennial events will take place at the Bowmanville Museum this year. Commencing April 17, the Bowmanville Bowmanville Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday Saturday and from two to five p.m. on Sundays and on holiday Mondays.
