Julie and her class were one of the many schools across the province to take a tour of their local police station in celebration celebration of Police Week which ran from May 14 - 18th. The nursery school students took their tour last Thursday morning at the Newcastle OPP Station where they received received a bag of Elmer's Safety Tips and even got to sit in a jail cell. Annette Rowe, a supervisor at the Newcastle Day Care said that "personal safety and the law are being emphasized more than ever this month in the schools because of Police Week."
