List of articles in next week's paper. C. Pethick, auctioneer. 22-ISN P OBITUARY VERA E. M1LLSON On Sunday morning, April 1, 1984, Vera E. Millson passed away at Strathaven Nursing Home in Bowmanville. One of the pioneers of former Clarke Township she was the wife of the late Hiram E. Millson. Born June 17th, 1886, on the home farm in the Township of Hope, she was the eldest child of the late Alfred and Sarah Harness. After her marriage to Hiram E. Millson in 1904, she spent many years on the Millson Homestead farm in Lots 13 and 14, Concession 4, of Clarke Township. In 1922 she moved with her husband and family to Orono where they established a fruit farm. However However her time at this location was saddened by the sudden passing of her husband on March 25,1929. Following this she moved to Bowmanville in 1930. By 1940 with her family raised and away she gave up hqr home and lived with members of the family in Vancouver, Toronto, Bowmanville, Bowmanville, and Tyrone until she took up apartment living in Toronto and finally at Orono in the Durham Senior Citizens Lodge. Mrs. Millson was very devoted to her family and church. She is survived by three children, Meta of Bowmanville Bowmanville (Mrs. Allen Moffatt), Alfred of Tyrone and Edward of Orono. Two daughters Muriel and Marguerite (Mrs. Leslie Webb and Mrs. Leon Moore) as well as two stepdaughters, stepdaughters, Della (Mrs. Arthur Wannamaker) and Ethel ( Mrs. Harry Rutherford) predeceased predeceased her. She also leaves to mourn her passing twenty three grandchildren, thirty nine great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. Her memory will always live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her and will continue to be a source of strength and inspiration to them. The funeral service was held in Bowmanville Trinity United Church on Tuesday, the Rev. Wayne Wright and Rev. Arthur Amacher officiating. officiating. Temporary interment Lang Memorial Chapel, Orono Cemetery. Pallbearers were all grandsons, grandsons, Messrs. Russell Moffatt, Toronto, Jon Moore, Kedron, Richard Trafford, Kitchener, Paul Moore, Tyrone, Gordon Millson, Newcastle, and Ronald Moffatt, Whitby. Many beautiful floral tributes tributes attested to the esteem in which Mrs. Millson was held as did the contributions to various eharildble organizations organizations and in particular the Memorial Hospital Building Fund. f'OKV^
