Ontario St. Public School was one of the 1,117 elementary schools to enter the Canadian National Mathematics League contest. The school placed 21st in the country and 4th in the province. Eldorado Resources Limited Limited has been asked to submit plans for disposal of radioactive wastes to a review review by an independent hearing. That recommendation was endorsed by Durham's regional council during a t meeting in Whitby last' week. Regional council accepted accepted a report from its planning committee which had asked that proposals for the establishment of a radioactive waste disposal facility related to the decommissioning decommissioning of the Port Granby site be referred to the federal Environment Assessment Review Office for scrutiny by an independent independent panel. In the past, Durham has asked Eldorado Resources Ltd. to commit itself to such a hearing.
