Mrs. Suzanne Westheuser was in charge of the service and was a very interesting speaker. This was the last service until September as no services during July and August. Kendal Kendal W.I. met at the home of Mrs. Don Cathcart with eleven members present and four visitors. This being the last business meeting before summer break, members indulged indulged in a pot luck lunch, picnic style, the weather cooperated cooperated beautifully, the food was delicious. The meeting was called to order and tentative plans were made for the Neal - Webster wedding June 30th. A count of hands was taken of members wishing to go to Helen's cottage again this year. A shower was held in Cindy Neal's honour Wednesday, June 13th, with many beautiful beautiful gifts. Best wishes to the prospective bride and groom. Kendal United Church is having a homecoming next Sunday, June 24th and anyone who attended either long ago or just a short while ago is invited to come and renew old aquaintances and recall fond memories. The following is a sports activities report: Kendal Ladies Lob Ball (Young's Auto Body) Tournament Tournament in Bowmanville June 16th and 17th - Won the first game 13-7; Lost the second game 7 - 6; Lost the third game 10-7.
