Haydon and Area Happenings Mr. and Mrs. Michael Laverty and family have returned returned home from a two week vacation starting at Niagara Falls. On to St. Thomas and visited with Sylvia's brother, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Compton, then to ' Grand Bend, to Sauble Beach, on to Wasaga Beach and to Midland, where they met with another Haydon couple and on home. While on holidays they heard the good news of becom- . ing aunt and uncle to a new little niece at Toronto, another daughter for Mike's sister, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Keuhne. Mr. and Mrs. J. Spry and Ashley spent the weekend with her parents Mr. and Mrs, J. Potts, so nice to get out of the hot city for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Slemon and Susan called at Strat- haven to visit with their aunt Miss Nancy Johns and then called around to see Aunt Helen (Mrs. H. White) at Hampton who is progressing nicely after having the misfortune misfortune of breaking her arm. We extend our deepest sympathy to Mr. and Mrs. Lome Annis of Hampton on hearing of their daughter's death on the weekend. Miss wee Sadie Graham of Newcastle stayed with Mr. and Mrs. Ross Ashton while her parents Kyle and Barbara Graham attended the car show that was held at Owen Sound. Mr. Jim Jones and Mrs. Meta Kellar, Oshawa, were weekend visitors with Jack and Blanche Jones and Sandy. Mrs. Kellar spent some time visiting with her sister Cora Degeer. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Jardine and Nathan from Saddle River, New Jersey who have been holidaying with the Lloyds returned home on Thursday. Mrs. Val Lloyd, Nicola and Sarah visited with Mrs. Timm Reefke of Pontypool and enjoyed enjoyed the pool on such a warm day.
