Since the summer of 1982 Ina had been a resident of Extendicare, Peter borough, until poor health hospitalized her last Spring. She had driven there from Calgary and stayed long enough to see the major attractions of the city and tour the ship on which grandson Paul is receiving naval training which includes trips to many foreign ports. The Dinner-Langman Picnic was held on Saturday, Aug. 11 at the Ken Dinner family home. There were over thirty there, including Ken Langman and family from Toronto and some from Barrie and Midland. They went swimming at the Port Hope complex in the afternoon and returned home for baseball games and dinner. One of the really fun games required playing with dress of toque, scarf, and mittens and using a knife and fork to open a chocolate chocolate bar while someone went around with dice to roll. If a six turned up, they could claim the bar. Vegetables and fruits of the season are in plentiful supply, apples in the orchard, tomatoes tomatoes and all the other vegetables vegetables in the garden.
