On Tuesday, August 14, they defeated Ajax and on Tuesday, August 21, they defeated Whitby 5 - 0. On Sunday, August 26, the team travelled to the Terry Fox Park in Scarborough and participated in the Scarborough Scarborough - Durham Girls Soccer Festival. The girls played very well despite a 2 - 0 loss in the first game to Scarborough United. They got off to a slow start as was fitting for the 9:00 start time, but their play noticably improved as the games progressed. Soccer Playoffs" Despite not winning a league game during the month of August, the local Dormen Minor Mosquito squad believes they have a good shot at Whitby in the first round of the playoffs.
