A good crowd turned out for our last outdoor service. Rev. and Mrs. B. J; Klassen conducted the service speaking on drinking drinking water at the trough of life. They spoke alternately with several stories that illustrated the topic. Misses Ruth and Elizabeth Kellogg sang two duets and Mr: Bickle played the organ for thé hymns. Fruit bread and coffee were served by Welcome ladies.. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Quan- trill attended the opening of the new fire hall at Mount Pleasant and Mr. Quantrill took part in the opening éxer- cises on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. C. Mr. and Mrs. Barkwell, Mr. and Mrs. Thickson and Mrs. E. Fowler took in one of Eldorado's tours on Tuesday evening. We had slides on their work and later toured the plant. One room contained a complete model of the various plant operations. I didn't realize how many uses they have for their products. They produce fertilizer, a metal that is harder and heavier than steel, as well as pellets for Nuclear and radium for cancer treatment. We will be talking about this at the W.I. meeting next week at Mrs. Lottie White's home in P.H. Kendal It's good to hear that Mrs. Mable Elliott is getting out and around these days, daughter daughter Joyce and her husband Brian took Reg and Mable to lunch in the Mall, and Mrs. Elliott Dunbar and son from London were visitors with Reg. Reg's brother Alfred of Willowdale was down and they were in Peterborough visiting Mr. and .Mrs. Lawrence Dunbar as lunch and dinner guests. Mrs. L. Dunbar is a sister of Mable. Mable was also one of a party of dinner guests at the Heritage Room. This outing was organized by a lady at the hospital I know only as Audrey or Scotty. She spreads her goodwill arid jokes around along with her no nonsense applications of physio-therapy, that's speaking speaking from personal experience - if you feel a little down when you go into physio, a few minutes of Audry can leave you feeling a lot better. She's ■ quite a gal who always has a joke and a smile. Belated good wishes to Lisa (Brewer) and'Troy Best on their marriage in August. Thanks to you it works...
