Cheryl has just completed completed a very enjoyable and rewarding year with Katimi- vik. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Roy spent a week camping and touring in the James Bay area, where among other interesting interesting stops they visited the Normick Perron Inc., Plywood Plywood Producers factory. At Iroquois Falls, Elsie and Bill joined the Abitibi Price pulp and paper company tour, viewing the industry from the planting of the seedlings to the production of paper. It was fun to join the workers at the logging camp for lunch, eating Canadian fare including moose steak to wild blueberry pie. The Roys toured mines in the Cobalt area. Marten River Park was found to be very beautiful and clean; the Reconstructed Reconstructed Logging Camp museum there continues to be developed. There is so much to see and do comfortably in the near north that the Roys feel they would return. Some lovely new homes have been built in recent years in Bethesda community. Karen and Ken Allin entertained entertained their Bethesda neighbours neighbours at a corn roast on Friday evening, creating an ideal opportunity for the newcomers newcomers to meet the established established residents, some families being of pioneer stock. Deb Roy and Karen Allin researched researched historical anecdotes and created a quiz which revealed some of the background of the area. Those who are now entwined into the tapestry of the on-going history of Bethesda through the medium of a corn roast are Mr. and Mrs. Ted Brock, Mrs. Gordyn Brent, Mr. and Mrs. A. J.
