Mr. and Mrs. H. Thickson had Mrs. Beryl Dekoker, Mrs. Westheuser and girls on Thursday. On Friday Mr. and Mrs. H. Thickson were in Cobourg. Mrs. John Sevenhuysen and Cheyenna, Thompson, Man., arrived in Toronto Tuesday and visited Mrs. Sevenhuysen Sr. and then came to Fowlers' on Saturday Saturday where she will be for a couple of weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Gordon, Gordon, Port Hope, called, on Mr. and Mrs. H. Muldrew last week. Saturday Miss Margaret Kelsh and Mr. Neil Trew were united in marriage at the home of the groom's parents, parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Trew. Rev. Rutherford of- Enniskillen News (Intended for Last Week) Mrs. Wilfred Sanderson, Columbus spent a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Wright and Betty. Miss Jessica Reynolds, Cambridge spent the week with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Len Stainton. Mrs. David Cecchetto and boys returned home to Sudbury Sudbury on Saturday after visiting visiting with the Ted Werrys. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Piggott and family have returned home after camping near Orillia and visited Colling- wood while there. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Spry, Bob and Paul, Penfield, New York were weekend visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Wright and Betty. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Werry and Karen, Sudbury were Sunday callers of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Werry and family. Weekend company with Mr. and Mrs. Len Stainton were Mrs. Gail Reynolds, Cambridge, Cambridge, Mr. Frank Piper and Mrs. Linda Cryderman, Mitchell's Corners and Mrs. Birte Stainton, Cobourg. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Trewin and Mr. and Mrs. Hiram Drew, Oshawa visited Mrs. Alma Taylor at Sunnicrest Nursing Home, Whitby. Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Preston, Orono, visited on Sunday with Miss Clara Page. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Spry, Penfield, N.Y., Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Wright and Betty were Sunday callers of Mr. and Mrs. Ron Clemens and family at their cottage, Williams Point. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Trewin, Mrs. Bill Reid, Orono, Mrs. Lloyd Slemon and Susan, Haydon with their cousin, Mr. and Mrs. Reg Titcombe, Vancouver, Vancouver, at the home of her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Johnson, Pickering on Friday and on Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Trewin attended the Sander - Taylor wedding dance at the Lions Centre, Bowmanville. Miss Myrtle Tamblyn and Mrs. Wilfred Bowman were guests for a couple of days with Mrs. Gordon Karn at her cottage on Lake of Bays near Baysville and Mr. Wilfred Bowman visited with Mrs. Laura Avery and boys, Oshawa. Mr. and Mrs. Eric Bowman, Diane and Aaron were dinner guests at the Bowman home on Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey McGill, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Skeel, London, England, Mr. and Mrs. John Borrowdale, Oshawa, Mr, and Mrs. A1 Martin, Mrs. A. Brunt, Little Emily Martin, Bowmanville, Miss Judy Virtue, Port Perry, Brian Hall, Goderich, Bob Richardson, Lotus were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Virtue and Laurie. Supper was served at the Lions Hall, Campbellcroft. Guests attended attended from Alberta, Bowmanville, Bowmanville, Stirling, Toronto and Marmora. On the way to the hall they stopped at Dorothy's House Museum to take pictures and they were the first bride and groom to sign the book, also it was the first time the bride signed her new name. A dance was held in the evening at the hall. Church services on Sunday Sunday were held at the usual time at Garden Hill Church. The choir sang. Rev. Rutherford spoke on the life of Micah. There weren't many out, no children for a story. Most families were either away for the holiday weekend or had company. No coffee was served. Perhaps by next week we will be back to normal. 9 a.m. seems early after a 10:30 service all summer. Nancy Sevenhuysen and Cheyenna were with us today. We had at turkey dinner dinner in the evening at Mr. and Mrs. R. Westheuser's. Several in the area attended attended the barbeque at Mr. Bartholomew's for Dorothy's House Museum on Monday evening. On Wednesday evening the Women's Institute held their September meeting at Mrs. Lottie White's home. About a dozen gathered. The president Mrs. Barkwell presided. The roll call was, "Name a way in which changing agriculture is changing our lives." Motto - "The love of land lies deep within the heart of man." Mrs. Sculthorpe of Port Hope spoke to us on the Eldorado waste. She leads a group fighting, putting it in a new dump site in Hope. With questions and answers we thought a resolution might be made up to cover this problem. Mrs. Ross Beatty, our secretary-treasurer secretary-treasurer read the minutes oflast meeting and a note on our sesquibicen- tennial project of visiting Lange Museum was read. The area convention is Oct. 30 - 31 which we discussed. discussed. We also have the care of the canteen at the park on Sept. 14 and 15. Our fall senior project is rug braiding and Mrs. Barkwell and Mrs. Muldrew agreed to go to leadership training in October. The junior project is food and nutrition which Mrs. Smith is looking after and Mrs. McClean and Mrs. Long are helping. Mrs. Barkwell closed the meeting and lunch was served. Next meeting is under Edith Carruthers' leadership and will be at Mrs. Milford White's place, Port Hope, in the afternoon, October 2nd. School buses are running again. They no longer stop on 9 for the elementary school children but on road 65 at church shed.
