A warm welcome home to good friends Grahame and Neta Fish of Nestleton, who have been assisting relatives in .Carnduff, Saskatchewan, Saskatchewan, for the past few weeks with their crops. They worked hard but it was a pleasure trip as well. It is surely good to have them home again. Barry Malcolm, Sim- coe, was a weekend guest, and Dennis and Laina Malcolm, Jove and Leta Michelle, Ajax, were Saturday visitors with parents Lawrence and Gwen Malcolm, Nestleton, and other local family members. They were pleased to find Mr. Stanley Malcolm much improved in Port Perry Community Community Hospital. Gail Malcolm, Port Perry, was also a recent overnight overnight guest with her parents. Sam and Mabel Cawker, Scugog Point Road, hosted a noon luncheon luncheon at the Windcrest Farms Feedlot Restaurant at Manchester, Manchester, on Sunday, Sept. 9th, for Arthur and Car- roll Cawker of Sudbury, who were celebrating 25 years of happy wedded life. Those present for the event were the celebrants Art and Car- roll, daughter Cheryl and son Bryan of Waterloo University, Grant and Merna Cawker of Oshawa, and the host and hostess. Some family family members were unable to attend. Our "warmest wishes" for many more happy years together. Caesarea Card Night At the Wed. evening euchre held in Caesarea Centre, and sponsored by the ladies auxiliary, the first prize winner was Ross Wingrove with 83. Second prize winner- Dorothy Edwards with 82. Two tied for the low score- Gayle Pelrine and Linda Hughes each having having 46. A very good attendance! attendance! Blue Ray Election Several members from the Cartwright area attended the Election Election of Officers night; held at Blue Ray Chapter, No. 238, on Thursday evening in the Masonic Temple, Port Perry. The Cadmus Presbyterian Church Nestleton This past Sunday, Sept. 16,11 a.m. the Cadmus Cadmus Presbyterian Nestleton Church, celebrated the 139th anniversary anniversary with an excellent excellent congregation in attendance. The guest speaker was Rev. Thomas Gemmell, B.A., B.D., former Director of Studies, Presbyterian College and now Secretary of the Board of Ministry, Don Mills. He spoke on "The 85 Model" relating to the outlook of the church. Mrs. Helen Fry, soloist from Janetville, provided provided special music - singing singing two numbers. "I Asked Asked the Lord" and "Take God by The Hand." Organist- Shirley Scott. Following this inspiring service, refreshments were served in the Church Hall - a , time to meet old friends - a time of fellowship. Bicentennial Tea A Success Mrs. Mabel Cawker of Nestleton, assisted at the Bicentennial Tea sponsored sponsored by Ontario South District held at Latcham Centre on Tuesday afternoon, afternoon, Sept. 11. It was truly truly a delightful event! A large attendance with all 10 branches well represented, as well as special guests from York East District. Quite a number were dressed in gowns of yesteryear. Our District President Mrs. Clare Thompson of Scugog Island extended a cordial welcome to all present. Reunion Held On Sunday, Sept. 9th Carl and Dale Muirhead, Chad and Krista of Scugog Point, attended the first Parkhust Reunion Reunion (Carl's Mother's family) hosted by Larry and Valerie Hanna, Troy and Lacy of Caesarea. Some 35-40 relatives were present for this important important occasion, to be an annual event. A very enjoyable day catching up on family news! Party Hosted On Sat. night last, Carl and Dale Muirhead, Chad and Krista held a party for the Blackstock Nursery School friends - first an enjoyable hayride - followed by a corn and weiner roast.
