We will be holding a baby shower for our cabbage patch preemie "Sally" in October. Tickets will go on sale shortly for our baby with her complete complete layette so some lucky child can adopt Sally for Christmas. Turkey Trot Planned for October 14th It's that time of year again. Time for anyone wanting to walk, jog, run, have fun and support the United Way. That's right, it's the 7th Annual Durham College - United Way Turkey Trot, Sunday, October 14 at 2:00 p.m. The Turkey Trot consists of a 5 kilometre and 10 kilometre run. It is open to everyone in the community. Participation certificates will be given to all runners. Competitive prizes will be awarded to the top six male and female runners in the 10 kilometre run. It costs only one dollar to enter (two dollars late registration fee after October 12). All participants are eligible for the feature draw prize, a one year full membership to the Durham College Athletic Complex. Registration forms are available at the United Way Office, at 52 Simcoe Street South, Oshawa, or the Durham College Athletic Complex. The Turkey Trot is organized by students in the Sports Administration program. Last year's Turkey Trot attracted more than 450 participants. Be part of a fun special event aimed at increasing awareness of the United Way Campaign. The 1984 United Way Oshawa - Whitby - Newcastle campaign goal is $1,728,000.
