Engagement Announced The marriage of Martha Jonah of Toronto and Private Ross Pettit of Camp Borden was solemnized on Saturday, August 25, 1984 in Scarborough Civic Centre. Rev. Frank Dalton officiated at the private ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Jonah, of Enniskillen. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Doug Pettit of Stroud. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a dusty rose taffeta dress. To complete her ensemble, she chose a white hat with veil and carried a cascade of roses and baby's breath. Councillor Diane Hamre said in a report to the town's general purpose purpose committee Monday that low cost or no cost measures offer more immediate paybacks. The reception was held at the Newcastle Community Hall after which Mr. and Mrs. Kidd left for a honeymoon in Jamaica, and are now residing residing in their new home in Oshawa on Farewell Avenue.
