Mrs. Jan Mayer joined with the Beavers on their hayride last Saturday. Mr. Willson kindly filled in by driving the tractor, and after the ride they visited the Tyrone Mill where they were treated to doughnuts doughnuts and cider. Miss Wendy Blackburn was a guest at the Burke home, Enniskillen, on the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Doug Blackburn Blackburn visited with Mr. and Mrs. Albert (Christine) Groeneveld at Coppins Corners and children Elisa and Steven on Sunday afternoon and called in at Mr. and Mrs. Roy Burke, OBITUARY KATHRYN ELIZABETH BAKER Citizens of the area were shocked and saddened to learn of the death of Kathryn Elizabeth Elizabeth Baker, aged 37, in a tragic car accident in dense fog on Durham Road 20, Lot 1, Con. 9, on Saturday, October 27th, 1984. Bom in Oshawa, and educated educated at Hampton Public School and Courtiee Secondary School, she was the daughter of David and Marguerite Hall. On May 22nd, 1965 she was married to John Baker. A resident of Long Sault for 17 years, she had previously resided in Hampton. She had attended Bruno's Hairdressing, Toronto, and had worked as a hairdresser in Bowmanville for 16 years, at Greig's Hairdressing, and Artistic, and recently opened jointly Guys and Gals - Sheer Magic. She was a member of Hampton United Church. Left to mourn her passing are her husband, sons Rick and Steve, her parents, a sister Darlene, a brother Gord, sister-in-law Doris, and 16 nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Morris Funeral Home on Tuesday, with the Reverend Reverend Lafave officiating. A beautiful eulogy was delivered by Gwen Glass in honour of her special friend. Mrs. J. Albert Cole presided at the chapel organ. Over 100 floral tokens were received in her memory including including tributes from Kut 'n' Kurl, Bowmanville Restaurant Restaurant and Tavern, M. In the afternon they attended the hockey game that David played in. On Sunday, Mrs. Jean Ashton, Mrs, Beth Nielsen and Mrs. Jean Laurion went to the TOPS Rally at the Eastdale Collegiate, Oshawa. On Monday evening there was a Hallowe'en Party for the Brownies held at the Enniskillen Church. The Lloyd girls, Sarah and Nicola and mother Val attended. Mrs. Val Lloyd accom panied her husband Dick to Toronto on Tuesday and went to the O'Keefe Centre to see the Liberace Show which she says was just great. Mr. John Adams and Ricki spent Friday evening skating at the Blackstock Arena.
