i 1 I Former School Board Employee Settles Dismissal Suit Out of Court The Canadian Statesman, Bowmanville, November 14,1984 11 The Northumberland and Newcastle Board of Education and a former , employee have settled ; a wrongful dismissal ; suit out of court. ! Bob Spooner worked ; in the board's purchas- ; ing department for 13 ; years, and was super- ; visor when he was fired ; in June of 1983; he sued ' the board for $61,000, a total which reflected ; one year's $36,000 salary salary plus $25,000 in punitive punitive damages.
