Born and educated in Port Perry, she was the daughter of Thomas and Isabella Fowler, and the wife of Lional Rogerson. A former resident of Bowmanville, Bowmanville, she had resided in Newcastle for 33 years, where she was employed in nursing at the South Haven Nursing Home. Surviving are her daughters Yennette (Mrs. Gerald Huber), Brenda (Mrs. Ronald Breen), a son Ernest Rogerson, Rogerson, all from Newcastle, and a brother George Fowler of Bowmanville. She was predeceased predeceased by four sisters Tressa Lane, Violet Blight, Luella Walker and Ada Potter, seven brothers John Richard (Dick), William Louis, Roy Marvin, Wilfred, . Robert James, Lenard and Karl Fowler. Captain Ellis Cuff officiated at the funeral services held on Monday at the Morris Funeral Chapel. Mrs. J. Albert Cole was the organist. NELLIE CHRISTINE BENNETT In poor health for over two years, Nellie Christine Bennett, aged 84, passed away in Memorial Hospital, Bowmanville, on Saturday, November 17th, 1984. Born in the Township of Wicklow, Bangor and McClure, Hastings, she was the daughter of James A. and Emeline (Levingston) Barr. She was educated at Maynooth, and in 1938 was married to Ernest A. Bennett. A member of St. Paul's United Church, Bowmanville, she had been a resident of the town at 4 Rehder Avenue, having previously resided in Toronto. Surviving are her husband, a sister Olive Baragar and two brothers, James and Allan Barr. The Reverend Edward Schamerhorn officiated at the funeral service held on Tuesday, at the Morris Funeral Chapel. Pallbearers were Mark Abbott, Douglas Gould, Allan Canrinus, W. Canrinus, L. Bennett and Barry Coutts. Interment Bowmanville Cemetery. JAMES WILLIAM LLOYD LEWIS (JIM) Family, relatives and friends, were saddened to hear of the sudden death, by car accident in Oshawa, November 3, 1984 of Jim Lewis, age 27 years. He was born September 27, 1957 in Bowmanville, educated at Ontario Street School and Bowmanville High School. He is survived by his loving parents, Bill and Lillian Lewis, sisters Mrs. David Maynard (Wendy), Bowmanville, Bowmanville, Mrs. Douglas Wood (Donna), Pontypool, and niece and nephews, Kevin and Pamela Maynard, Danny and Bradley Wood. Dear grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Snowden of Bowmanville. He'was a member of Trinity United Church and was employed at General Motors until the time of his death. He loved all sports, his home and family, and resided at 36 Loscombe Dr., Bowmanville until his passing. He rested at the Morris Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Peters officiating at the service on Monday, Nov. 5, 1984. Organist was Mrs. Helen McDonald. Interment in Bowmanville Cemetery.
