The old adage "It pays to advertise" can be really overdone, and I've heard folks say, "It turns them off." Low, a former resident resident of Kendal, underwent surgery on her eye for a cataract on Monday morning, and word has it Nita Ransbury is doing as well as can be expected. She will be staying with her daughter in Peterborough Peterborough for the time being. On behalf of Kendal I'd like to extend to Mr. and Mrs. Jack Rosamond and family a warm welcome to the community. They are living in the home Mr. Barry Little built. It's a sad thing to drive by our former school and see it all boarded over, its windows looking like blind eyes. It's too bad that it can't be put to some kind of productive use, redundancy redundancy seems to be a sickness of the times - perhaps we should adopt the fast food method of operations: throw away everything, although come to think about it, I'm not too sure we haven't already. Well, I think we finally had it. I let the dog in today and I believe old man winter is here. Perhaps now we'll get a little bit of snow, accent on the little, to make it look more Christmasy and for the kids to try out their sleighs and flying saucers. - I remember going downhill on one of those plastic dishes, they go faster than greased lightning, I might add it was my first and last trip. After testing out the 115-35 lately I find it great, but to my way of thinking at the south end of Orono where they stopped operations, it's an open invitation to some kind of calamity brought about by some maniac who has to do it their way, especially when you see what they can do when conditions are reasonably safe, It's a bad spot and I for one will be taking it a little extra careful in the future.
