December 10,1984 is the 36th anniversary of the United Nations' Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The Commission hopes that, as in the past, communities communities will see the -anniversary -anniversary as an occasion to 1 promote "understanding, co-operation, and peace as well as universal respect for human rights". The mayor received a list of suggestions to publicize Human Rights Week and he recommended that they be complied with so far as policy policy would allow. Cartwright Team in Provincial Championship Cartwright High School's senior girls basketball team will be competing this weekend in the All-Ontario basketball finals to be held at Guelph. The CHS girls will be in the Single A Division for Ontario high schools having fewer than 750 students. Cartwright, which is in the championship for the first time in its history, has a student population of 100. To qualify for the All-Ontario All-Ontario event, the Cartwright team defeated Clarke High School 50-41 to clinch the COSSA championship. The Cartwright midget girls also ended a successful successful season on the basketball courts last month. Cartwright won the Single A COSSA final with a 47-21 victory over Clarke High School. They will not be playing in Guelph, however, because there is no all-Ontario all-Ontario competition in the Single A category at this age level. The senior girls, who are coached by Eric Fletcher, include: Ten a Woltcrs, Lisa Kellow, Kim Grisscll, Lornn Kellow, Julie Bryant, Shelley Shelley Holliday, Cathy Paisley, and Carol Lewerenlz. The midget girls are coached by Donna Rum- ball. The team includes: Davvna Dunsmorc, Lisa Hudson, Claire MacKenzie, Traci Churchill, Mindy Hollow, Hollow, Dawn Locke, and Marion Marion Johnston.
