Ray Simser served as principal at Waverley for the six years between 1978 and 1984. He is currently currently the principal of Newtonville-Newcastle Public School. Mr. Simser is shown here with teachers David Gray and Cathy MacLeod. Christmas Recital to be Held in OsHawa A Christmas Recital including including several local musicians musicians will be held Sunday, December 23rd at Simcoe Street United Church in Oshawa. Performing with the Oshawa Symphony Flute Quartet will be organist Keith Rasmussen, Elizabeth Lambert on the oboe, and Lynda Shew- chuck playing the flute. Everyone is welcome to attend the concert which is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. Freewill offerings will be accepted at the door. Another Christmas recital recital involving 55 local flautists, students of Lynda Shewchuck, will take place December 20th at the Bowmanville Bowmanville Lions Centre.
