P'NUTTY COCOA COOKIES (Makes about.? dozen) Vv cup all purpose 125 mL (lour Fry's Cocoa 125 ml baking soda 2 ml salt 2 mL peanut butter 125 mL shortening 125 mL granulated sugar 125 mL firmly packed 125 mL brown sugar egg 1 milk 45 mL chopped salted 250 mL peanuts Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk. Stir in peanuts. Drop from small spoon onto ungreased ungreased cooked sheet. Bake in preheated 375°F, (190°C) oven 12 to 14 minutes. Cool. CRISPY CHOCOLATE GRANOLA BARS (Makes one jelly roll pan) 1'vcups all purpose 375 mL Vi cup 1 1 tsp. Fry's Cocoa soft butter or margarine firmly packed brown sugar egg granola-typo 75 mL in granola. Spread batterin 250mL a greased 15xl0x :l /i-inch (2L) (38.5x25.6x2 cm) jelly m roll pan. Bake in preheated , 350°F (180°C) oven 15 to 20 5mL minutes or un til done. Cool. 25o mL Cut into bars. Sift together flour and cocoa. Cream butter; beat in sugar. Blend in egg and vanilla gradually stir in sifted dry ingredients. Stir 3tbsp. Sift together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Cream peanut butter and shortening together; beat in granulated sugar and brown sugar. Beat in egg. Entertaining's a snap with P'Nutty Cocoa Cookies, Crispy NC Chocolate Granola Bars and Chocolate Refrigerator Cookies. CHOCOLATE REFRIGERATOR COOKIES (Makes about 5 dozen) 2'4cups all purpose 625 mL flour Vi cup Fry's Cocoa 75 mL '/«tsp. baking soda 1 mL 1 cup soft bulter 250 mL or margarine %cup firmly packed 150 mL brown sugar V: cup corn syrup 125mL 1 egg 1 tsp. vanilla 2mL }icup chopped nuts 175 mL Sift together flour, cocoa and baking soda. Cream butter; beat in sugar. Stir in corn syrup. Beat in egg and vanilla. Blend in sifted dry ingredients. Stir in nuts. Shape dough in rolls, 2 inches (5 cm) in diameter; wrap in waxed paper. Chill several hours of overnight. Cut into thin slices and place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake in preheated 375°F, (190°C) oven 10 to 12 minutes. PEACE & LOV6... GOODWILL TO All...
