WEST local lads hosted Whitby in another league contest, looking looking for a little revenge after the 8 - 1 thrashing they received the last time these two clubs played in Brooklin. From the opening whistle, it was evident that the Toros had come to play, applying constant constant pressure throughout the contest, outshooting the visitors visitors 33 - 13. Only the "Red Hot" goaltending duo between the Whitby pipes kept the score respectable and the Home Side was very unlucky not to get more than a 3 - 3 tie. Bowmanville scorers were Brooke Clemens unassisted, Todd Banks unassisted and Kevin Farrow (his first of the season) from Greg White and Brad Banks. Game Stars were 1 - Todd Banks, 2 - Greg White, 3. Bryan James. Playing their third match in as many nights, the Toros headed west for their second encounter of the season with the league leading and undefeated undefeated Markham squad. AFTER CHRISTMAS ivay ioa. through the second perio This was the spark the team needed because for the better part of the game the action went from one end to the other. Grant Spencer scored the second goal late in the second period. Good defensive work by Tim Richards and Corey Scott helped set up the third goal. Good passing and position position play by Jamie Davidson, Jeff Wright and Dan Walters who scored, making it 3 - 3. Again the defense with Corey Scott and Kim Duczmalewski helped to set up our 4th goal by Jeff Wright with assists by Jamie Davidson Davidson and Dan Walters.
