Obituaries IRENE MABEL COX The death of Irene Mabel Cox occurred suddenly on Saturday, November 17th, 1984 in Memorial Hospital, Bowmanville. Born in Pickering Township, Township, daughter of the late Mabel and Fred Harrison, she was educated, and resided in the Brooklin area, prior to her marriage on March 31st, 1934, to William T. Cox, who passed away on May 7th, 1976. A resident at 59 Concession Street West for six years, she had previously resided for 30 years at R.R. 4, Bowmanville. She was a member of st. Paul's United Church, the Senior Citizens, and the Jolly Club. Mrs. Cox ■ was very family oriented and very active in the Bowmanville Senior Citizens Club. Left to mourn her passing are sons, Robert Cox, Bowmanville, Bowmanville, Gary Cox, London, Brian Cox, Auckland, New Zealand, a daughter Carole Elliott, Bowmanville, five grandchildren, and a sister Mrs. O. V. Shaw, Oshawa. The Reverend Edward Schamerhorn officiated at the funeral services held on Monday at the Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home.
