Twenty-three members sat down to a delicious meal of turkey with all the trimmings. The executive executive was in charge. The W.I. Grace was sung. After the meal the meeting was opened by the President Mrs. H. Millson with the singing of 0 Canada, The Institute Ode and repeating the Mary Stewart Collect. Mrs. L. Tomlinson, Secretary Treasurer, read the minutes of the previous meeting and gave the financial statement. The Roll Call - A Christmas Verse or Memory was answered by each member. Christmas cards were signed for the shut-ins. The meeting was turned over to Mrs. M. Wiseman who was in charge of the Christmas program. A reading by Mrs. C. Bell was enjoyed by all. A duet was sung by Mrs. I. Twist and Mrs. H. Millson. A humourous skit was presented. Christmas carols were sung by the members with Mrs. M. Amacker at the piano. Mrs. M. Wiseman and Mrs. E. Kinnear were in charge of the exchange of gifts. If any woman is interested in Women's Institute work, we welcome you. The Bowmanville Women's Institute meet the first Thursday of each.month at 2 p.m. at Trinity United Church Hall. Hope to see you at our next meeting, January 3,1985. --P.R.O.- Anne Brine Turkey Dinner For Meals on Whe e ls Clients Clients of Meals on Wheels will be enjoying a hot turkey dinner Monday, December 24, when volunteers volunteers call on approximately 35 residents in Bowmanville, Bowmanville, Hampton, and Cour- tice. And on Tuesday, December December 18, the Jack and Jill Club supplied Christmas baskets of fruits and treats | to Meals ' on Wheels" récF pients. Meals on Wheels provides dinners twice weekly to local residents who require the service. Delivery usually usually takes place on Tuesday and Thursday of each week. However, because Christmas Christmas falls on Tuesday this year, the customary Tuesday Tuesday meal will be delivered Monday. Community Care Co-Or- dinator Roxy Barnes said approximately 60 volunteers volunteers are currently working on the Meals on Wheels Program.
