Remember Transporters Prepare for Playoff Round Blame it on the long drive, the long lay-off, the flu bug or whatever, the fact is the Buckham Transporters Toros fizzled in Orangeville on Saturday to turn what had started to be an exciting win into a ho-hum loss that left nothing to be said but "let's go home!" Oh, there were flashes of brilliance and some outstanding plays. The line of Shane Armstrong, Greg Healey and Stephen Smith continued to dominate the boards with their tenacious forechecking and bull's eye passing, always causing pressure pressure around the net. After some sure passing from Greg and Stephen, Shane let a blast go from the blue line to put the Toros ahead 1 - 0 at 4:58 of the first. Greg Healey accounted for the second in the third period. However, Orangeville answered with four and the game was over 4-2. Sunday morning matched the Transporters against the Little NHL Canadians in Orono. Although the game ended in a tie (1-1) the score could have easily been extremely lopsided as all lines tied the Canadians up in their own end but the puck just wouldn't go in for them. Once again Greg Healey from Shane Armstrong and Stephen Smith accounted for the scoring scoring robbed of many others by fate. Although the team showed more sparkle in this game they did not show playoff playoff readiness. However, they've had their slumps before and have always risen to the occasion, especially when playing the tougher teams. As a result most fans are predicting victory over Midland next weekend.
