Stephanie Timbers was released from St. Joseph's Hospital, Peterborough Peterborough on Saturday, September September 14th and is further recuperating at her parents' home. Do tell about your loved ones if they are faced with illness or serious accident. On our trip to Gananoque, I failed to mention that we visited with an aunt of mine in Napanee, Aunt Mary Nugent. She was formerly on a farm near Deseronto and nursed her husband, Claude, for a short time with terminal cancer. cancer. Later she sold her home and moved into a seniors apartment complex in the Town of Napanee. She is quite comfortable. Also, after a lunch stop in Belleville, I telephoned telephoned a college mate of my mother, Josephine Tickell. She enjoyed the phone call but was not well enough for a personal visit. Her funeral was on Tuesday, September 17th. When an opportunity arises for kindness to someone else, seize it. It may not come again. The bridal attendants wore identical dusty rose organza gowns with hats matching the gowns and carried baskets of silk flowers consisting of burgundy roses, pink orchids and ivy. Best man was Mr. Dave Maschke, of Seagrave and the ushers were Robert Shaw, Port Perry, brother of the groom, Steve Snider, Oshawa and Tom Cooke, Brampton, cousin of the groom. Reception and dance followed the ceremony at the town hall.
