A son of the late William and Charlotte Stephens, he was born December 5th, 1903, at Enniskillen, Enniskillen, Ontario. He was married to Violet Weston on January 21, 1929. Surviving are his wife and four sons, Frederick of Goshen, Conrad of Menesha, Wisconsin, Terrance of Osceola, and Michael of Berrien Springs, Michigan, a daughter, Kathleen Gunter, of Edwardsburg, Michigan, 15 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and a sister, Ethel Gibbs of Tyrone, Ontario. He was predeceased by a son, Ronald, a grandson Kirk, and brothers, Robert, Roy, Upton, and Ivan, and by three sisters, Iva, Lola and Marion. A resident of Granger, Indiana, for the last 14 years lie had previously resided in South Haven, Michigan. Mr, Stephens was employed with the Michigan State Highway Department for 32 years, The Reverend Conrad Stephens, a son, officiated at the funeral services held on Thursday at the Warner Funeral Home Osceola, Indiana.
