Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose a formal gown of white chif fon, designed with a sweetheart neckline, and full chiffon sleeves etched with appliques of Venice lace and seed pearls. A full Southern-belle skirt etched with tiers of Chantilly lace fell into a chapel train. To complement the gown the bride wore a chiffon derby hat with a pouf of French illusion veil and silk blossoms blossoms and carried a cascade bouquet of dusty rose Sweetheart roses and baby's breath. On Wednesday, October 3, the grade eight and grade seven students travelled to Bowmanville High School in order to watch a mime troop perform. The performance performance was excellent. All of us gave them an "A." Some of our students enjoyed it so much that they went back to the evening performance with their parents. In inter-school soccer action, action, the competition is getting getting tough. Most of our players seem to be improving improving as the season progresses. progresses. The maid of honour was Lorri Fairey of Bowmanville, and the bridesmaids: Heather Westlake, sister of the groom, Cindy Applegath, sister of the bride and Caroline Tax of Bowmanville. They wore identical cocktail- length mauve satin gowns trimmed with embroidered lace and carried silk bouquets of white, mauve, and purple gardenias. The best man was Brad Almond of Bowmanville and the ushers were Tom Nowlan of Bowmanville, Paul Brunt, brother of groom, Bowmanville, Bowmanville, and Rob Donoghue, cousin of groom, Bowmanville.
