A few of the regulars were not "awesome," (including yours truly). Oh well, it was just like spring training camp, only in the fall. Mike and Lois Marks were there, I think Mike thought he had a night stick in his hand, the way he clouted that bird. I am only kidding, Mike took to the game like a natural skip in curling. Larry gave us a bum steer by not appearing! appearing! Hope to see you and Barb next week. The card night had seven tables and the following people were winners: Mor- ley Flintoff took first prize and second went to Helen Gilroy. Third prize was won by Bruce Bright. The carrying carrying prize for lone hand for the ladies was taken by that "Scottish Lassie," Margaret Mclnnes from Niagara Falls, and for the men, Bruce Bright. The next day the ladies treated themselves to a well deserved brunch at the Marina. > The October 8th meeting was held in the home of Jovce Stokes. The ladies enjoyed a program on Time Management Management presented by Ed Schryer, Regional Sales Manager for Olympia Products. Mr. Schryer, with the aid of an excellent video, stressed the importance of planning our time carefully. Lynda Gibson hosted our October 22nd meeting and the members were treated to a pre-Hallowe'en program.
