Baker, dressed in a wed-' ding gown of yesteryear gave a' brief resume of the District Tweedsmuir History. Mrs. Percy Van Camp, a member for 60 years, was presented with flowers and; Mrs. Kathleen Watts rec'd flowers as the most, recent member, present. Both are from Blackstock.l The Curators served Anniversary. Cake, Ice Cream, Coffee and Tea in the lower Hall. All agreed it was- a great Anniversary Party ! Family Leisure Hours The Sam Cawkers of Scugog Point Rd., were .evening dinner guests with Grant and Merna Cawker, Chris, Curtis and Cathy, Oshawa this past Tuesday. A fine evening of visiting! No doubt they were prac ticing for the real fun of door-to-door trick treating later in the evening. Memorial Hospital said farewell to Marion Burgess last week. Mrs. Burgess has spent her entire career at Memorial Hospital. She joined the staff in 1953 and served in a number of capacities, including the past 13 years as head nurse for the emergency department. A Mock Wedding was an entertaining feature. The day after the party, Jack and Karel flew to Japan and Hong Kong for three weeks - a most interesting trip taking in many "highlights". They visited a pen pal of Karel - Kimiko Okiidro - the imperial Palace in Kgoto and many other points of interest. interest.
