The third period belonged entirely to Bowman- ' ville as Doug Lever notched the fourth marker from Shane Armstrong and Troy Harness. TIRE SALES INC. 676-1220 TRISUN, ALL SEASON 299 Daan Avt, Bowmanville, Nov. 2,1985 Lead by Mark Tripp's three goal performance, Bowmanville's Bowmanville's Canadian Tire Bantams rolled over the visiting Port Hope team by a score of 9 - 2. The Toros took an early 1-0 lead in the first period when Craig DeBIois scored at 13:26 on a goal mouth scramble. Eric Janssens and Nicky Dennis drew the assists. The visitors got that one back at 7:59, when Jeff Reid beat starting goaltender Kevin Zarosky. Eric Janssens then gave the Toros a 2 -1 lead with assists going to Craig DeBIois and Nicky Dennis. Mark Tripp made it 3 - 1, when he got the first of his three goals at 5:13 set up by Gareth Stone and Rob Real. With just over a minute left in the period, Port Hope pulled to within one goal when Steve Dinesen made it 3 - 2. In the second period, it didn't take long before Troy Mutton, Gareth Stone and Mark Tripp combined to give the Toros a 4 - 2 lead. Just thirteen seconds into the period, Tripp won the draw to Mutton, Troy then fed a pass to Gareth Stone, who in turn, hit Mark Tripp with a perfect pass. Tripp split the defence and beat the Port Hope goal- tender for a 4 - 2 lead. Stephen Smith, playing his first game with the Canadian Tire club made it 5 - 2 with the assists going to Troy Mutton and Brad Rushak. As in the first period, the Bowmanville club had the definite edge in play in this period. Only some fine goaltending goaltending by Port Hope's Terry Smith kept it as close as it was. Offensively, the only real scoring threat by Port Hope came at about the mid-way point of the period. A Port Hope player got behind the Toro defence and went in all alone on the Toro's Kevin Zarosky. However Zarosky made a great glove save on a shot that appeared to be labelled for the upper corner of the net. In the third period, it was all "Canadian Tire" as they scored four unanswered goals. Gareth Stone opened the scoring at the 13:48 mark with assists going to Dean Baum- hauer and Greg Goode. After Stone's goal giving the Toros a 6 - 2 lead, it appeared that the club relaxed with a four goal edge. This allowed Port Hope to skate at will and, as a result, have two breakaways breakaways within a minute at the ten minute mark of the period. Burke Lush made two great stops to end the threat and went on to prevent any further scoring by the visitors. Brad Rushak made it 7 - 2, Toros, as Bowmanville had a two man advantage. Rushak scored at 7:05 of the third with Stephen Smith and Troy Mutton assisting. Dean Baumhauer made it8 - 2 with Stephen Smith earning his third point of the night with another assist. Mark Tripp finished off the scoring with his third goal of the game at 2:08 with assists going to Gareth Stone and Dean Baumhauer. Legion Lediee Bowlers As at October 24, 1985 High Single - P.
