Janet Paeden, Margaret Elliott, Mary Jones and Phyllis Peck were among those who attended Kendal Church Bazaar on Saturday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Henderson Henderson were among those who attended the Legion Dinner and Dance at Bowmanville on Saturday evening. Mrs. Meda Stapleton of Port Hope has returned from her visit with Mrs. Rowena Tizzard at Oxford, Nova Scotia. Rowena is waiting to have an operation on her foot. Mrs. E. Austin of Port Hope had her birthday dinner on Thursday with Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Stapleton and family. They were also celebrating Marvin's birthday. Mr. Trueman Henderson and Don Vinkle returned home on Saturday afternoon after their week deer hunting near Apsley. Mr. Ray and Glenn Staple- ton have both received their pin and certificates for their 50 donation to the Blood Donor on Wednesday evening held at the Lions Centre, Bowmanville. Bowmanville. Hymn sing was again held at the beginning of church services. Phil and Carolyn Gilmer were the greeters. The choir sang "Some Golden Daybreak," Rev. Bryan Youngs-Ransom conducted the sermon on Giving till it Hurts, At the close the Sunday School children and others presented cards to Bryan on the occasion of his birthday on Monday.
