The event, which was organized organized with the assistance of the Bowmanville Jaycettes, Jaycettes, was enjoyed by everyone. "I have been a lot of places in my time and that was the best time I have had," said Irene Manwell, one of the Bowmanville residents residents who took part in the picnic. The event originated when Mr. Landman, owner of Sandaraska Park, approached approached Louise Aasen of the Jaycettes, with the idea. Louise Aasen would like to see another such event in the future and feels that the feedback received received from the seniors is enough initiative to go ahead with another.
