Reynolds, who came back to his native township of Darlington from Toronto last September to open a butcher store in Hampton, has now purchased the grocery business of W.W. Horn of Hampton. Charles Shaw, General Manager of A. Wander Limited, Limited, Peterborough, manufacturers manufacturers of Ovaltine, will address the Bowmanville Rotary Club on Friday on the topic "Be a Giver and Not a Getter." The annual bridge party sponsored by the Women's Hospital Auxiliary, and held at the Nurses' Residence Residence on Tuesday afternoon afternoon was a decided success. A total of 26 tables took part in the afternoon's entertainment entertainment after which tea was served by members of the Auxiliary. The residence residence was decorated with lovely fall flowers for the occasion. Mrs. W. H. Birks, President of the Auxiliary, assisted by Mrs. V. H. Storey, received the guests. Prizes were awarded at each table. 25 Years Ago Wednesday, November 29th, 1961 Branch 178 of the Royal Canadian Legion and the • Bowmanville Ladies' Au xiliary to the Canadian Legion at a joint meeting held in the Legion Hall on Thursday evening presented presented a $2,000 cheque to the Memorial Hospital Board to furnish a four-bed ward in the new wing of the hospital. Cramp has been named Executive Director, Director, University Hospital, Louisville, Kentucky, the new hospital which will serve the University's Health Sciences Centre. Paul Richard Morris, eldest eldest son of the late F. Donald Morris, will return to Bowmanville, shortly as president and manager of the Morris Funeral Chapel. Paul is the fifth generation of the Morris family to serve Bowmanville and area. A subdivision proposed for 18 lots on land near the Waverley Gardens area, east of Spry Avenue, was approved approved by Council's Planning Planning Advisory Committee last Monday.
