Exciting Bus Trip Despite the poor weather on Sunday, with rain, snow and all, a very excellent bus trip was enjoyed by a full load of senior citizens and others from the entire area. We travelled to the "People's Church" (Sheppard (Sheppard Avenue) Toronto and first off we all marvelled at the size of the auditorium. The announcer told us there was an estimated crowd of over 2,000. Bus loads from Brantford, Guelph, Peterborough, Keene, Cobourg and many more were ushered into reserved reserved sections and later were announced. The "Living Christmas Tree." has been produced for 17 years and there were people in the audience who had seen the very first presentation. presentation. The total cast is made up of between 4UU and 500 people, of all ages, from little ones 5 years - 6 years to adults. With a full orchestra, plus organs, pianos etc. and special guests soloists Diane Susek, York Penn, and Lloyd Knight, Toronto, one would have great difficulty difficulty in describing the sheer beauty and thrilling sound. Imagine singing the Christmas carols along with 2,000 other voices and of course the magic of the beautiful two trees on stage. They truly are living trees, as row upon row of people gather all the way to top of tree. Along with the lovely colored lights, truly a magnificent magnificent sight. The varied programs are beautiful, representing all nationalities, bell ringers, costumes, manger scenes etc. This is truly a memorable event and well worth the trip to Toronto!
