Hampton & District Happenings by Wilma Kantor While reading a local paper I came across a plan to identify Hampton as a region for growth that would allow the consideration of a plan of a subdivision consisting of 49 residential lots. This would create quite an impact on the hamlet and I wonder where the water would come from for these homes as we were told at a meeting that Hampton has not enough water ot comtemplate any large development. The other area where this would create problems would be in the schools. How many pupils can our schools handle without having to make additions? Anyone wishing further information on this should contact the Planning Department, 105 Consumers Drive, Whitby Ontario. LIN 6A3 or call John Sharpe, Planning Department (416) 668-7731.
