Given in marriage by her father, the bride was radiant in an imported Victorian Victorian styled designer gown of heavy crystal white satin which featured a basque waistline of tiny horizontal pleating accented with lace and seed pearls. A Queen Anne neckline formed a stand-up ruffle and Rennai- sance sleeves featured pleating lace and seed pearls. Satin and lace fan motifs adorned the back and the front of the gown. The male attendants wore gray tuxedoes. Receiving the guests at the reception held at Valen- tino Place, Weston, the bride's mother wore a formal formal gown of periwinkle chiffon, gray accessories and an orchid corsage. KOPS Graduation Held at TOPS Club On Thursday evening, January 15th, a KOPS graduation ceremony was held at ; the regular weekly meeting of TOPS No. 0N870, Bowmanville. Bessie Forsey, Helen Cook and Marian Almey who are sisters, graduated together. They were presented with their pins and dilpomas by leader Shirley Cole, while their corsages and sashes were pinned on by co-leader Barb Arnburg. Each graduate was presented with a gift. Congratulations! An annual event, which màny /TOPS., m'embérs look forward ;; to/ 'is Provincial Recognition Days (PiR.D.), taking place in Sudbury, Ont. this year. It will be held in May, on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd. The theme this year is "HeresLove". International Recognition Days will be held this year in Nashville, Tennessee, U.S.A., on June 18th, 19th, and 20th. The theme will be "TOPS, the New Frontier." In 1988 P.R.D. will be held in Toronto. It will be TOPS 40th anniversary and it will be an exciting P.R.D. People ask what does TOPS stand of? Well it is exactly this "Take Off Pounds Sensibly". There is no other way to lose weight, but "sensibly". Losing weight is hard work, but very rewarding.
