Nestleton United Church A good attendance on Family Sunday Sunday at Nestleton United Church with the Glenn Malcolm family greeting at the door. The Junior Choir sang very sweetly "God Watches Over Us," accompanied by Betty Headon at the piano. Rev. D. Davis had a story for the children and a thought provoking sermon entitled "Space In The Family Parking Lot." He suggested that the power structure of the family needs to be reexamined. reexamined. A warm welcome awaits you at 11:15 a.m. Nestleton Pancake Breakfast A Success The Pancake Breakfast - 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. hosted by the Nestleton Hall Board on Mothers Day Sunday, was an outstanding success. Many folks took advantage of this "special" event - a most enjoyable occasion! The male cooks were superb flipping flipping those pancakes with ease...and the delicious maple syrup...with the nourishing sausages was a good bet to start Mothers Day Sunday! Nestleton Presbyterian Church Rev. Fred Swann conducted the morning service at 10 a.m. with Mrs. Joyce Taylor presiding at the organ. The Psalm reading was Psalm 23, the section on "The Christian Christian Family." Family News of Interest Russell & Edda Bowman of St. Christopher, enjoyed a visit with daughter Pat Cornell and son Russell, Jr. for Mothers Day weekend. John and Marion Hall, Port Perry & Williams Point, "hosted" son Bob & Carolyn Hall, Rebecca & Rachael of Port Perry for Sunday supper. Son Bill Hall, Christopher & Michael of Ajax were evening guests. (Daughter-in-law Loraine was working and couldn't be present). Sunday evening dinner guests with Lawrence and Gwen Malcolm were daughter Gail of Port Perry, and son Dennis & Laina Malcolm, Jove & Laura of Ajax. Recent guests were sons David & Joanna Malcolm and family and Glenn & Arlene Malcolm and family. Audrey Leishman and son William spent Mothers Day with Neta Fish of Nestleton. Daughter Marlene Bannister of Peterborough phoned during the day. Norm & Bernice Mairs of Nestleton, attended the Pancake Breakfast in Nestleton Centre...and later visited with Robert & Carol Mairs and family in Nestleton. Mothers Day guests with Sam & Mabel Cawker of Scugog Pt. Rd., were Alan & Eleanor Cawker and daughter Lea Kitchen, and little Jessica of Oshawa. A great visit over lunch! Best Wishes We arc more than pleased to hear that Richard MacKcnzic of Nestleton is home recuperating after major surgery on Tuesday, at Wellesley Hospital in Toronto. A very pleasant surprise! Keep up the good work Rick! Sorry to hear that a good friend, Ella Bowers of Nestleton is In Port Perry Hospital...not feeling the best! Our thoughts and prayers arc with Ella for a speedy recovery! Sympathy Extended Mrs. Adeline Earnshaw of Caesarea, passed away In Oshawa Hospital on Sunday evening. Funeral service will be held In Jcr- rett Funeral Chapel, Kennedy Rd.
