Mr. Tamblyn was recognized for his lifelong work as a volunteer in a wide variety of associations. He was active in many farm groups, served on the Orono Fair Board for 42 years, and was an appointee to the Durham County District High School Board. He is a former member of the Orono band, is a lifelong member of the Orono United Church and is currently currently an enthusiastic and energetic worker on the Orono Town Hall Board. Mr. Haunsberger was recognized for his extensive contribution to Canadian sports. The former Cour- tice Secondary School teacher and technical director is a respected judo coach and a past president of the Ontario, Ontario, Canadian, and North American judo federations. In the category of corporate citizen of the year, St. Marys Cement was recognized recognized Tuesday evening.
